Ella Mai The Anthem - D.C. Concert reviews
Moves like Joe Cocker
"Fantastic show! The Fox Theatre in Oakland was a breathtaking venue with amazing acoustics. Ella Mai, a cross between Scottish Pub/Cajun rock/Blues, totally keeps you hopping. Sat in the mid level tables with a drug counselor from Amsterdam (oxymoron!) and had a blast. The opening act Anya Marino was fantastic, and her "band" Nano was a riot. Ended up 10 people away from the stage dancing my as- off for the end. What a blast! Totally will start tracking Ella Mai and seeing her every chance I get. She had the crowd rolling with her banter, very personable."
